It's natural to feel anxious about your child's preparedness and ability to meet these challenges.
As a mother and an educator, I deeply understand this worry. You want to ensure your child is not only equipped with the necessary skills but also confident and ready to face the rigors of higher education. It's this understanding that has been at the heart of creating the series of spelling practice workbooks for 6th, 7th and 8th grade.
My aim is to support your child's spelling development by providing a structured method for studying and practicing spelling words. The key here is repetition - revisiting the targeted words multiple times, but with a twist. I've designed the activities to be brief and varied, reducing the monotony that often comes with spelling practice. This approach reinforces their learning and prepares them for the higher demands demands that will follow after middle school.
To foster contextual learning, every spelling word comes with its definition and a model sentence, helping your child understand and use the words in real-life scenarios. The workbook has 20 lessons, each focusing on 6 distinct words, with 4 practice activities each. The structure is flexible: spread a lesson across a week with one activity a day, or dedicate a single day per week to a complete lesson – the choice is yours. Additionally, a blank notes page is included in every lesson, to take notes, make observations and track progress.
